Part of the fun of a cruise is getting dressed up. The right clothes can really put you in the mood, and make your trip feel so much more enjoyable. Here’s a look at a few of the latest cruise wear trends to make your trip fabulous.
What to pack when going a cruise?
1. Crop pants
Perfect for walking around the ship or on an offshore excursion like shopping or sightseeing. If you're on the shorter side you can still wear cropped pants, just go for a slim cut crop pant. The Miracle crop pants by Gordon Smith or these Miranda Pants are packing essentials. They also look great with a wedge heel.
2. Floaty tops
Perfect to pair with crop pants - a floaty top has 'relaxed holiday' written all over it. A top like the Channing Top by Joseph Ribkoff is the perfect combination of relaxed easy dressing without compromising looks.
3. Sundress
Pack a sundress or two! A maxi and midi dress is a good combination. A maxi can be worn with flat shoes and sun hat during the day and dressed up with heels and dangly earring and bangle for a night time on board concert.
This Carina midi sundress is perfect for travel in an easy care crinkle fabric.
4. Dinner Date
For the evenings when you dine in a more formal setting or even at the "captain's table" you will want to pack a stylish dress. You can easily kick on after dinner while you're feeling glamourous ... perhaps for some dancing!
This black drape goddess dress can be dressed up or down and will have your feeling ready for a gorgeous night out.
5. Don't forget a few layers. For cooler days or evenings pack a jacket and a cardigan. This Juanita Jacket looks great teamed with your white capri pants!
Some extras to consider are; a few pairs of nice earrings, these help dress up any outfit (see above picture). Some flat sandals in gold or silver, metallics are more 'lux' and versatile than everyday white or black and tend to go with more outfits reducing your packing space. Add a cool pair of sunglasses, a gorgeous sun hat and finish with a versatile tote that will take you from the onboard pool deck to exploring the streets on your new destination.
